Hello! My name is Annabel Hope.
I have been shooting film for well over a decade. I like how 35mm looks like how the moment felt, the surprise of development, the tangibility of the camera in its click and whirr.
As my friends started getting married, I would passively shoot their love parties as wedding gifts. It was when they would tell me, "These are better than our photographer's!" that I started to realize how special it could be to provide this service to others.
My approach is thorough and warm. I like to get to know you before we shoot. I want to make sure I'm capturing that one aunt who flew thousands of miles to be there, the college roommate, and the bouquet picked from a family home's front yard.
I still cry a little at every ceremony I see.

FAQ
Is film reliable?
Yes! Even with digital photography there will always be photos that are slightly less than perfect. Odds are with film, they'll still be beautiful. Feel free to contact me and I can share what some of those more "flub" images might look like. In terms of rain, low light, travel, film never has to worry about lost SD cards, oversensitivity of digital lenses, or delicate equipment. Film is hardy and flexible with weather and lighting. Finally, I develop my film with Pro Image Photo and have for as long as I've been in New York. They treat my film with great care and I have never had any issues with film being damaged or lost.
How much does this cost?
That depends on the nature of your event. From weddings to engagement shoots there are a lot of variables to be considered. Feel free to reach out to me here so that I can provide you with a quote specific to your needs.

I do travel and love to. I am currently local to New York City.

In what form does the film come?
Generally, you will receive high quality digital scans straight to your email. I am happy to discuss prints, albums, flash drives, etc. if that is something you are also interested in.
Do you do videography?
Yes I do! I am happy to send my reel over if requested.
